Inspired by Loving the Feral Soul Inc.'s "Because Every Life Matters" campaign for a more ethical and humane treatment of feral cats, the F.F.F.A.S. fully supports no-kill shelters and advocates spay/neuter over eradication of feral cats, strays and homeless animals. Our "Because... I Support No-Kill Animal Welfare" campaign is the grassroots of Friends Fundraising For Animal Shelters. We know that through irresponsibility, greed, abuse, and cruelty many animals find themselves alone, frightened, and homeless through no fault of their own. No-Kill shelters and compassionate feral cat colony caregivers and rescuers embrace life. These animals are given a second chance by those who dedicate their lives to make a difference. As of late No-Kill shelters in Manitoba have become the target of rash attacks by the director of the WHS (Winnipeg Humane Society). Termed "animal warehouses", there is a lack and failure to realize the shelter owners fight for life by caring for these unwanted animals rather then add to the disturbing numbers of animals euthanized each year due to irresponsible owners.
We encourage anyone who beleives like we do that "All Life Matters" to stand up... speak out... and make a difference in the lives of these animals. Stand up... Speak out... And wear it loud!!! Our new t-shirts speak our behalf of these animals. Show your support of no-kill advocacy and help no-kill shelters continue their continue their work of caring for these unwanted animals. Would we euthanize the homeless for sleeping on a park bench or cardboard box home? Would we euthanize the elder abandoned by uncaring families in nursing homes? Would we euthanize unwanted babies abandoned by irresponsible parents? NO!!! Then why euthanize animals innocent for humanity's crimes? BE PROUD... STAND UP... SPEAK OUT... WEAR IT LOUD... Because you support No-Kill Animal Welfare. |

October 16 2010
On October 16 we would like you to take time and learn about feral cats and the lives they live. Take time to look and learn. Feral cats are in rural and urban areas and have learned to live in harmony with the world around them. They live in harmony respecting one another and have many valuable lessons to teach us. On October 16 as on everyday, celebrate life! |
