Friends Fundraising for Animal Shelters Magazine Guidelines

Friends Fundraising for Animal Shelters is a non-profit organization that helps fund no-kill shelters, rescuers, and feral cat caregivers with the vetrinarian costs to enusre the health and proper care of unwanted animals.

We are excited about our new magazine this year. The F.F.F.A.S. Magazine will be available quarterly and in two formats. There will be an e-mag version delivered to our mailing list as well as a printed format which will include extra pages not found in the online version. Our printed magazine will be available to order through our website as well as distributed for purchase through various pet stores, vetrinarian clinics and other locations throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

We are presently looking for submissions for our magazine in the form of articles as well as pet photography on a volounteer basis. Here is your chance to have your pet viewed by many around the world as well as have your talent viewed by many. Below are the submission guidelines for the Friends Fundraising for Animal Shelters Magazine.

• Submissions to F.F.F.A.S. remain the property of the owner. Submissions are on a voluntary basis to help raise funds for no-kill shelters. All material ramines copyright of the sole proprietor.
• Pet photos must be a minimum of 1200 x 1600 with a minimal resolution of 300dpi (600dpi is preferred). We can adjust the resolution if needed.
• Along with images, please submit your name, location, pet's name, breed, age, and brief description to be printed with the photo in our magazine.
• Articles submitted for print should be no longer then 2000 words and can be sent as a MS Word document attachement or within the body of your e-mail Please attach name and location along with article.
• Types of articles we are looking for include: shelter stories, rescue success stories, animal rights issues, recipes, feral cat caregiving tips and stories, articles on animal behavior are also welcomed.
• For the printed format we are looking for submissions for our kids page of the magazine as well as crossword and word search ideas and other word games.

• Business Card size (2 x 3.5 inches) advertisement per issue cost $40.00
• For our marketplace cost per ad will be $25.00 per 75 words.
• A quarter page (color) advertisement costs $75.00 per issue
• A half page (color) advertisement costs $125.00 per issue
• A full page colored advertisment costs Z$180.00 per issue
• We accpet all advertisment types axcept for the following:
  1. Sexual
  2. Pirated goods
  3. Free to good home pet adoptions
  4. or any material illegal in nature
